How can we manage the expectation to always be available? This session will explore ways to find a work-life balance, and continue to support each other and your family.

Wednesday, May 268:00 AM - 10:00 AMAre we there yet?! Banishing burnout and building momentum
One of the most popular ways to describe 2020 was "dumpster fire", and 2021 so far isn't shaping up to look a whole lot easier. Pandemic fatigue, virtual meeting burnout, stress at home and in the workplace... it's a lot. This session is designed to give you a bit of a break and a whole lot of strategies for navigating the challenges of low-level stress and high levels of uncertainty. This session is geared towards high achievers looking for easy-to-implement strategies to level-up your life (at work and outside of it!). Get ready to engage and interact - it will make you think as much as it will make you laugh. We'll focus in on hitting the reset button and laying a foundation to make 2021 our best year yet.
2:30 PM - 3:30 PMBreaking through Middle Management: Gaining the Skills to Get Ahead
Join this session for a candid discussion from a panel of City Managers and Assistant City Managers as they share their experience and lessons learned along the way, and what they recommend you should look at as you break out of Middle Management and into that C-Suite.

Thursday, May 278:30 AM - 9:30 AMUnderstanding and Addressing Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace
Throughout the past year, we have become more aware of racial inequities and need for organizations to accelerate diversity and inclusion efforts. What kinds of challenges do minorities and individuals of color face in the workplace? How does an organization benefit from the inclusion of such leaders in decision-making roles and positions of power? This session will discuss issues of identity with regard to gender and race, and will address the discourse of equality in the workplace.
